Ads Page

Last Updated: Jun 21, 2016 01:55PM EDT

The Ads page is the central interface for managing a comprehensive ad campaign across multiple Microsites. Both the Cross-Site and Single-Site Ads tabs have a similar interface. .

Where it is

From the Webmaster Links (on all pages of your website) the most direct route is:

1) Click "Edit this Page" "Add to this Page" or "Edit Navigation" in the Webmaster Links.

2) Click on the "Ads" item in the gray navigation bar

Singe and Cross-site Ads in Combination

When used in combination the Single Site Ads render under Cross-site Ads.  Single Site Ads will be below and/or to the left of Cross-site Ads as if the Single Site Ads had a lower "Order" number.

What it Looks Like and How to Use

The Ads page is fairly straightforward to use. A button at page bottom prompts "Add an Ad".  Following this a large "Your Ad Here" ad space template will appear.

Adding a New Uploaded Image Ad

Select the "Uploaded Image" radio button and then take the following steps (numbers correspond to image at right):

Click "Browse" to initiate the process of uploading an ad image. Select the file from your computer.

Following its upload input the URL for the ad in the "Link Ad to" field.

3  Determine the area of the site you want it to render in through the "Type of Ad" pull-down area.

4  Show the ad above and below other ads through changing the "Order" number. Ads with a higher number will appear in the more prominent location - atop or to the left - relative to other ads with the same "type of ad" input. The lowest order numbers are the most prominent. The "Order" numbers need not be consecutive numbers.

When completed click the "Save" button

Adding a New Rotating Ad Service Ad

Select the "Rotating Ad Service" radio button and then take the following steps:

1 Paste the javascript code from your external ad management provider into the "Paste ad code here" field.

2 Determine the area of the site you want it to render in through the "Type of Ad" pull-down area.

3 Show the ad above and below other ads through changing the "Order" number. Ads with a higher number will appear in the more prominent location - atop or to the left - relative to other ads with the same "type of ad" input. The lowest order numbers are the most prominent. The "Order" numbers need not be consecutive numbers.

When completed click the "Save" button.

Removing Ads

It is not possible to take ads offline without deleting.  To delete an ad click the "Delete?" checkbox to the left and click the "Delete Selected" button at page bottom.

Tips

  • An add that is too horizontally large for the rendering area may show as enlarged to full page size. Edit ads as needed if this is seen.
  • It is possible to integrate an external ad management service, like AdJuggler, through the Ads Page (the "Copy AdSpotKey" assists this). Please submit a ticket to integrate external Ad management services.
