The establishment of a new Community will establish Announcements in support of that Community. A Parameter based on the Community Key will narrow any display of Announcements using the ws:Announcements User Control. Rights to view Announcements for a Community follow the view "Who Can View Your Community?" setting on the community established on the Edit Community Settings page. Community Announcement Display
Community websites and community landing pages commonly display Community-specific Announcements by default. These content items are routinely pre-configured to display only that Community's Announcements. Community Microsites have a special Parameter to limit their announcements to the Community they serve. This Parameter is FilterByMicrosite="True". As long as this Parameter is in place for a Community Microsite, only that Community's Announcements will be displayed. This Parameter should be in place on the model site on which new Community Microsites are based, allowing new Community websites to display Community-specific Announcements by default.
With the correct configuration, community-specific announcements display redundantly across websites. The same announcement made on the community landing page will display on the community website and vice-versa.
