IMPORTANT: The Surveys module has been moved to the Maintenance stage of the product lifecycle. As such, it is not available to new customers.
Current users can continue to use it, and Higher Logic commits to the conditions of the lifecycle stage as detailed in Higher Logic's Product Life Cycle and Support Assurance Plan.
Submission options are accessed from the Survey Properties used to specify:
- survey close date,
- maximum number of respondents,
- multiple responses, and
- response editing permissions.
The defaults create an open-ended survey (in terms of responses and close date) with responses that cannot be edited.
Specify a survey close date
If you specify a close date, further options are opened, including the ability to customize the text that a respondent will see if he/she attempts to submit the survey after the close date.
Specify the maximum number of respondents
You can specify the maximum number of respondents. When that limit is reached, each subsequent survey response will display text that you can customize.
Allow contacts to submit multiple responses
Respondents can be allowed to respond several times to your survey. If you allow multiple responses, the first response from a respondent is attributed to that respondent, but any subsequent responses will be anonymous. Anonymous responses cannot be edited.
Allow respondents to edit their submissions
The survey can be enabled to allow respondents to edit their submissions. From the Survey Properties click Define Submission Options and then select Yes for Allow editing of responses?.
In order for a respondent to edit his/her submission, he/she must click on the link to the survey within the email. The survey will display with their original submissions which can now be changed.
