The Web Tracking Report shows session details for each page of your site on which activity is being tracked. In addition to having details for each page, you can also view the details of the page as part of a collective.
For example, if you have a blog that contains 15 articles, you can add the same tag to each article page. This enables you to see how each article page, as well as the overall blog, has been interacted with as a whole. This is a great way to see a big-picture view of the data.
Before you begin, ensure the Higher Logic Thrive Marketing Professional (Thrive Marketing Professional) Web Tracking code has been added to your website (if not, see Enable Web Tracking).
Create a page tag
To create a tag:
- Navigate to:
- Classic Admin interface - Marketing Automation > Web Tracking
- New Admin Experience - Web Tracking
- Click the Page Tags tab.
- Click Assign Tags to Pages to open the dialog.
- Click Edit Tags.
- Click + New Tag.
- Specify a tag name and click Submit.
Repeat these steps to create additional tags.
Tag pages
- On the Assign Tags to Pages dialog, select a tag from the Tag dropdown.
- In the Available Pages field, click the URLs of the pages that you want to tag. The page URLs move to the Selected Pages field.
The tag is automatically added to the selected pages.
- Review your page selections to ensure you've added all (and only!) the pages you want for the selected tag.
- Click a URL in the Selected Pages field to remove the tag from that page.
- Click Close.
After a tagged page has been visited, the details for that group of tags will be visible in the Page Tags tab of the Web Tracking Report.
