The Mailing Summary Report includes several reports that provide a variety of subscriber-centric data about your messages. With these reports, you can:
- learn more about what quantities of messages work best;
- get a summary of subscriber details;
- see which subscribers did not receive messages;
- and identify which subscribers have not opened your messages.
NOTE: References to Message Summary Reports reflect a current rebranding initiative. Message Summary Reports and Mailing Summary Reports refer to the same set of reports with the same options and functionality.
Access the Message Summary Reports
Classic admin interface
- Navigate to Mailings > Reports > Mailing Summary Reports.
New Admin Experience
- Navigate to Messages > Reports > Message Summary Reports.
After filtering the messages for which you're interesting in viewing data on the Select Messages tab, click View Reports. The reports discussed in this article can be found in the Analyze Subscribers folder.
Email Volume report
To view this report, click Email Volume.
Use this report to gain insight into what quantities of messages work best for your audiences. Click a bar in the upper chart or a line in the lower chart to display the list of subscribers in that range.
Subscribers Emailed & Opened report
To view this report, click Subscribers Emailed & Opened.
Despite your best efforts, there may be a few individuals who have slipped through the cracks. This report can help you easily identify subscribers who have not received your messages or subscribers who could become part of other publications.
TIP: Click any wedge of a pie chart to see the subscribers in that segment.
Individual Details report
To view this report, click Individual Details.
After sending numerous messages, you'll want to get all the details that go along with subscriber data associated to those messages. This report includes active and unsubscribed subscribers (displayed in red).
TIP: Click the Columns button above the list to control which data columns are displayed. This enables you to fine-tune the precise data you want before exporting.
Individual Not Emailed report
To view this report, click Individuals Not Emailed.
This report is unique in that its focus is on individuals in your account that you did not send messages to. There may be untapped opportunities in connecting with these subscribers, so use this report to make the most of this information.
TIP: Click the Columns button above the list to control which data columns are displayed. This enables you to fine-tune the precise data you want before exporting.
Create a Target Group
Keep in mind the ability to easily convert these individuals into a Target Group so that you can target these "untapped" subscribers.
- Click the Target Group button in the tool bar.
- In the Create Target Group dialog:
- Specify a Name for the group.
- Select the Folder in which it will be stored.
- Provide a Description.
- Click Create.
