Asset Manager is an internal repository for the media that you curate and include in your account's messages and templates. Asset Manager (and its content) is available:
- as a standalone page in the Admin interface and
- as an overlay window in Template Designer and Message Designer.
NOTE: You can access Asset Manager in the Admin interface by navigating to Messages > Asset Manager. For information, see Asset Manager in Admin.
This article describes how to access Asset Manager and how to upload images from it in:
- Template Designer when creating and editing a template via the Messages > Templates page and
- Message Designer when creating and editing a message via the Messages > List page.
NOTE: Asset Manager can house several types of media. However, in the template and message designers, only images can be uploaded from it.
Having direct access to Asset Manager from within the designers simplifies accessing your account's images and expedites getting those images into your templates and messages.

- The search queries file names only, and displays all matching files, as in the following example in which the letter "m" was searched on.
- Click the Clear button to clear the search field and return to where you were in the collection structure.

When you find the image that you want to include in the template or message, click it.
The image is immediately added to the design canvas and to the Image Properties panel, where you can manage its properties on the Content and Style tabs.
Save, review, and test
Whenever you are creating or editing a template or a message, you should:
- Frequently save your work (in addition to the default auto-save functionality).
- Visit the Review & Send tab to preview your work in order to ensure that it renders as you expect. This enables you to make changes before you proceed too far along.
- Consider running the Personalization Test (if applicable) and Virtual Inbox Test to also catch potential issues before using the template or sending the message.
