NOTE: This article pertains to iMIS, netFORUM, and Salesforce.
Every Higher Logic Thrive Marketing Enterprise (Thrive Marketing Enterprise) integration requires specific details to not only secure the integration bridge but also to inherit permissions of a specific user. For example, in netFORUM, this credential is inherently tied to an xWeb user. When a password is changed in the integrated database, the associated credential must also be updated in Thrive Marketing Enterprise.
WARNING: Changing these values can interrupt your integration, leading to failure in tracking or uploading to your integration-connected groups.
Permissions
Initially, only integration users can update the integration settings; however, administrative users can limit access to these fields. The Integration Settings permission that has to be enabled is:
- Integrated Permission
Configuration
To access the integration credential, follow the steps below.
NOTE: Each integration is unique, so the corresponding credential name (xWeb, Auth) will be as well, and is explained below.
- Select Settings.
- Select Integrations.
- Under Integrations, select Integration Settings.
- Enter the corresponding password.
iMIS
The iMIS configuration uses the credentials stored in the Thrive Marketing Enterprise settings table. If these credentials change, they must be updated in Thrive Marketing Enterprise.
- Select Customer.
- Select Set up tables.
- Select General Lookup Validation.
- Select Real Magnet Settings.
netFORUM
The netFORUM configuration uses an xWEB username and password.
NOTE: This is only for version 2 of the integration.
Salesforce
Every 90 days, Salesforce prompts users to change their passwords. Doing so will update the corresponding security token for that user in Salesforce. When using the Salesforce integration (version 2), this update must also be made in Thrive Marketing Enterprise. Thrive Marketing Enterprise requires:
- Security Token
- Password
