Occasionally, it's likely you'll need to update netFORUM to keep up with new functionality and features. When this upgrade is scheduled, it's imperative you notify the Higher Logic Integrations team.
NOTE: While testing is not a requirement for a netFORUM upgrade - there is a low likelihood of disruption - you must let the integration team know if any of your credentials have changed.
Once your upgrade has been scheduled, send an email to support@higherlogic.com. Upgrading a netFORUM integration, in general, causes no disruption of service, with the following exceptions:
- The xWEB credentials will need to be refreshed
- The xWEB URL is changed
Otherwise, Higher Logic Thrive Marketing Enterprise (Thrive Marketing Enterprise) expects that the integration will continue functioning. There are few exceptions to this rule: If the version is a jump from 2010 to a later version, we do recommend that some generic testing is completed.
Technical details
The integration installation requires the following details:
- xWEB URL
- xWEB Username
- xWEB Password
If any of these details change, they must be given to the integrations team prior to the date of the upgrade.
Testing
The following credentials are required to test the integration:
- xWEB URL
- xWEB Username
- xWEB Password
Once returned, there is an expected turnaround time of 1—2 business days to complete configuration on the Thrive Marketing Enterprise side.
The test steps we recommend are provided in Testing Documentation that will be supplied to you via the integrations team.
Thrive Marketing Enterprise IP addresses
This information can be found in the installation documentation. Make sure the Thrive Marketing Enterprise IP addresses have been added to an allowlist.
Halting integration services
Prior to the upgrade, Thrive Marketing Enterprise can disable tracking and then re-enable once the upgrade is completed. It's important that you provide Higher Logic with a time frame for this upgrade; we can then monitor your Thrive Marketing Enterprise integration service, or temporarily disable your upload jobs.
NOTE: Because some of these jobs may be connected to a Marketing Automation campaign(s), it would be best if any associated users are notified that there may be an impact to their campaign.
