Using “Survey Properties” you can set attributes for an entire survey all at once. Use this feature to modify the following survey attributes:
- appearance and layout
- fonts and text formatting of questions
- mandatory questions
- question spacing
- real-time results availability
- page break properties
- submission properties
How many columns can my survey have?
Surveys can be configured to have:
- 1 Column
- 2 Columns
- 3 Columns
In the Survey Properties, click “Define Survey Style” and select the desired number of columns.
Can I define the width of the survey?
Yes. You have two options:
Pixel Width
You can define the exact number of pixel you want the survey to span. Pixel width can be between 100 and 600 pixels.
Percentage
You can define what percentage of the viewable window the survey should display. By default surveys are set 100%.
To access this functionality, in the Survey Properties click “Define Survey Style” and select the desired width.
Can I have a border around the survey?
Yes. You can set a border for the survey. You can choose the border color as well as the border properties:
- No Border
- Normal
- Thin
- Thick
To access this functionality, in the Survey Properties click “Define Survey Style” and select the desired border options.
What are my options for aligning the answers to the questions?
You can choose to display the answers in one of the following two options:
- Horizontally (Adjacent to each other)
- Vertically (One below another)
To access this functionality, in the Survey Properties click “Define Survey Style” and select the desired alignment option.
How do I automatically number the questions?
In the Survey Properties click “Define Survey Style” and select “Yes” for the Automatically number your questions? option.
Can I select the font style for questions?
By default the font style for questions is Black and 10 point. You can change this default in the Survey Properties. Click “Define Question/Answer Style.” You can set the following defaults:
- Font Face
- Font Size
- Font Color
- Font Weight
- Font Style
- Underline
- Text Alignment
Additionally, you can edit the font style of a specific question. Click on the “Edit” action button below the question you wish to change. At the top of the “Input Question” box that contains the question text there is a text editor. Highlight the text you wish to change and use the text editor to change the font, color, formatting and font size. You can change the entire question or individual words.
Can I select font styles for answers?
By default the font style for Answers is Black and 10 point. You can change this default in the Survey Properties. Click “Define Question/Answer Style.” You can set the following defaults:
- Font Face
- Font Size
- Font Color
- Font Weight
- Font Style
- Underline
- Text Alignment
Additionally, you can edit the font style of a specific answer. Adjacent to each answer is Font Icon. Click this and a small text editor and highlight the text you wish to change and use the text editor to change the font, color, formatting and font size. You can change the entire answer or individual words.
Can I format the style for making questions mandatory?
Mandatory questions by default are highlighted with “*”. To change the symbol to indicate a mandatory question, In Survey Properties click “Define Mandatory Question Options.” You can:
- Select to either highlight mandatory questions or not
- Select the text or symbol to indicate a mandatory field
- Select the font style for the symbol
Can I change the default question spacing?
Yes. To modify the default spacing between questions, In Survey Properties click “Define Other Properties”. Select the desired spacing form the drop down menu.
How do I save my options to apply to all future surveys?
Submission options are accessed from the Survey Properties used to specify survey close date, maximum number of respondents, multiple responses, and response editing permissions.
The defaults create an open-ended form or survey (in terms of responses & close date) with responses that cannot be edited.
