Interests Profile Fields in your account
An Interests profile field allows you to organize your contacts into groups based on those contacts having one or more things in common. Interests profile fields can be included on a web-based subscription-management form that allows contacts to opt in to or opt out of your organization's email communications.
NOTE: The opt-in vs. opt-out approach is dependent on how the form is designed.
Interests profile fields are also useful for creating messages that are targeted at select groups of people, such as:
- inviting people to an event,
- thanking people who purchased a product, and
- congratulating people in your association who achieved a milestone.
NOTE: When you create an Interests profile field, a corresponding target group is automatically created as well. This makes it easy to use the Interest as the basis for a target group in a message.
