After a list of email addresses (and other contact information) is uploaded to your account, it becomes a Target Group in the Interest folder.
The Upload History page lists details about each contact-list upload to your account; it is the central place to review what was uploaded and how it was processed. Both manual uploads and AutoFTP uploads appear here because AutoFTP files are processed as standard contact uploads.
Access the Upload History page
- Access the Admin interface.
- Navigate to Contacts > Upload > History.
The Upload History page lists all uploads that have occurred in the past 90 days.
Understand the list columns
The list displays with a default set of columns that present details about each upload. To manage the list, you can:
- Click a column header to sort on that column; click again to reverse the sort order.
- Drag the column separators left or right to adjust the width, making column content more or less visible.
- Click the Columns icon above the list to open the Select columns dialog; this is how you customize what columns display in the list, as described in the Customize the upload data shown section below.
- Click underlined data in the list to dig deeper (e.g., click the numbers in the Emails in File column to view the full list of email addresses in the upload).
Let's learn about some of the more important columns:
- User: The Admin who performed the upload.
- Emails in File: The count of rows in the source file; click this to open the file and view the full list of addresses.
- Invalid Emails: The email addresses that will not be uploaded to your account. This is typically due to incorrect construction of the address, such as it's missing the "@" symbol or the domain. Click this value to open the file and view the full list of invalid addresses.
- New Subscribers: Count of contacts created by the upload.
- Previous Subscribers: Count of contacts already in your database.
- Type: The upload method/category (e.g., manual/AutoFTP).
-
Duplicates: Count of rows removed as duplicate entries within the upload.
-
Demographic Problems: Displays a Yes or No to indicate whether there's an issue with mapping to your demographic/profile fields.
-
System Corrected Emails: Count of addresses the system adjusted automatically.
-
Integration Source: Indicates whether data came from an integration/API or manual upload.
-
Data Format: which Data Format mapping was used.
