In April, 2020 message templates that are associated to two older editors in Higher Logic Thrive Marketing Enterprise (Thrive Marketing Enterprise) will no longer be supported. If your organization is using one or both of these editors, we recommend using one of our new responsive templates so that you can take advantage of the latest Asset Manager and recent updates to our editor.
Why are we no longer supporting these editors?
These older editors are tied to an Asset Manager we're no longer maintaining.
Which templates are affected?
NOTE: These editors are known by many names; the names used below are their common names. Reference the images below to visually identify the editor for each.
"Blank" templates
"Active Preview" templates
Can I migrate my templates?
For both template types, there is no method to easily migrate their content; you'll have to recreate them manually in the new editor.
Refer to the articles in the Learning resources section below to learn how to create a template, as well as an overview of our new editor.
Are there any workarounds?
Until the end of 2020, a workaround will be available allowing you to continue creating messages tied to these old editors. How? Create copies of existing messages tied to these old templates and edit those copies. Use this workaround to ease your transition to the new editor.
To do this:
- Navigate to the Messages > List page.
- Select a message, followed by Save As from the More menu.
- Select the copy in the list and click Edit.
NOTE: Higher Logic recommends beginning the migration as soon as possible to give yourself plenty of time to transition your templates and/or messages.
