This article describes two password-resetting scenarios in an Event Engagement site:
- You've forgotten your site password and have to create a new one.
- A site administrator instructs you to reset your password (e.g., for security reasons).
Reset your password
TIP: Whenever you change your password, be sure to note it somewhere secure.
To reset your password:
- On the Member Login page, click Can't access your account?.
- On the Password page, specify your email address.
NOTE: This must be the email address that is associated with your account in your Event Engagement site.
- Click SEND PASSWORD LINK.
- Open the forgotten-password message in your email client and click the "update your password" link.
- On the Password page, review the password requirements, and then specify and confirm your new valid password.
- Click UPDATE.
NOTE: Note your new password in a secure place.
You are logged in to your Event Engagement site.
Admin request
An Event Engagement site administrator might request that you reset your site password. To do so, the admin will ask you for an alternate email address to which the password-reset link will be sent.
To reset your password:
- Access your alternate email client and open the password-related message.
NOTE: If the message is not in your Inbox, check the Spam/Junk folder.
- Click the password-reset link.
- On the Password page, review the password requirements, and then specify and confirm your new valid password.
- Click UPDATE.
You are logged into the Event Engagement site.
