The Contact History dialog has several tabs with high-level information about the Contact's:
- participation in surveys and campaigns,
- message interactions, and
- subscriptions.
Refer to Activity histories, below, for details on the activities that are tracked.
To manage a Contact's history:
- Access the Admin interface.
- Navigate to Contacts > List.
- Select a Contact and click History.
The Contact's history opens in an overlay dialog.
- You cannot resize the dialog, but you can "grab" the title bar and re-position it.
- Click the X to close.
Contact activity
The upper portion of the dialog has some useful dashboard-type widgets that provide an up-to-the-minute snapshot of the Contact's activity.
The widgets indicate:
- Subscribed since - This indicates when the Contact was initially mailed or joined the mailing list. Click the email address link to send a message to the Contact.
- Groups - This is the number of groups (Interests, Demographic groups) to which the Contact belongs.
- Engaged - This gauge indicates the Contact's level of engagement: unengaged, engaged, and very engaged. The level of engagement is based on the Contact's score (with a higher score reflecting a higher level of engagement) and it updates based on engagement.
NOTE: If a ? is displayed, Engagement is not enabled for the account.
- Campaigns - This is the number of campaigns that the Contact is currently a part of. Refer to Activity histories, below, for more detailed campaigns information.
- Score - This is your organization's custom rating scheme. Values can be alphabetic (e.g., A—E) or numeric (e.g., 1—10). These values are set on the Engagement > Scoring tab. See Scoring.
NOTE: If a ? is displayed, Engagement is not enabled for the account.
- Recent Activities - This is an up-to-date, quick-reference list of all activities that the Contact has recently been involved in.
The lower portion of the page is where a Contact's participation in your organization's various activities is tracked. You can use this information to ensure that Contacts are properly engaged and meeting any requirements that your organization might have as conditions of "active" membership. If a member has been disengaged or uninvolved, you can use this data to encourage him or her to take a more active role.
Activity histories
Use the tabs across the lower portion of the dialog to access the Contact's activity histories.
Notes
- The active tab has an orange bar below it (shown under Messages in the image above).
- The column headers and data on each tab are specific to that tab.
- An arrow indicates which column the list is sorted on and the order (shown on the Date column in the image above).
- A down arrow (↓) indicates "first to last," "latest to oldest," (A—Z)
- An up arrow (↑) indicates the reverse, "last to first," "oldest to latest," (Z—A)
