Push integrations operate differently from traditional pull-based or periodic sync integrations. In a push integration, your system is responsible for sending updates directly to Higher Logic whenever changes occur—either in real time or in batches, based on your own schedule. This means that Higher Logic does not need to periodically check your system for updates, as all relevant data is proactively delivered by your integration.
Because of this design, the periodic refresh feature is intentionally turned off for push integrations. There is no need for scheduled polling or automated data retrieval from your system, since updates are already being sent as they happen. Enabling periodic refresh in this context would be redundant and could lead to confusion about how and when data is updated.
