- Use the Category dropdown and/or the search field to more quickly find a specific widget.
- Widgets are grouped by type in the dropdown.
- Select the All category to view the complete list of widgets; click Event to view the event widgets discussed in this article.
Event widgets
Each of the widgets in the Events category is described in their associated section below.
All Events List
The All Events List widget can display public events that are not associated to a specific community or community-based events, giving admins the flexibility to create various types of event calendars using its configuration options.
This widget makes it easy for your users to stay informed about your organization's upcoming activities and events.
- This widget lists all events by default, allowing users to see your organization's full range of events.
- Admins can configure the widget to filter events by specific criteria, such as community, Event Type, and tags, helping you create unique event calendars for specific use-cases and community pages.
Options
You can configure the All Events List widget via the following options:
Community: Use this option to limit the list to events associated with a specific community. This is useful when you want the page to show only one community’s events instead of all events across your entire site.
Event Types: Use this option to limit the list to one or more Event Types. This is useful when you want to create a page for a specific kind of event, such as webinars, conferences, or other event categories used on your site.
Max Number of Events to Show in List: Use this option to control how many events display in the widget at one time. This is useful when you want to keep the page shorter or highlight only a limited number of events before users view additional results elsewhere.
Show Advanced Search Filter?: Use this option to show or hide the advanced filtering controls for the event list. Enable it when you want users to be able to refine the list by additional search criteria on the page.
Show Tag Filter?: Use this option to show or hide the tag-based filter. Enable it when you want users to be able to filter the event list by event tags.
Show Community Name?: Use this option to show or hide the community name for each event in the list. This is especially helpful when the widget displays events from multiple communities and users need to know which community each event belongs to.
Show Days Prior to Today?: Use this option to include past events whose end date falls within a specified number of days before today. Use it when you want recently ended events to remain visible instead of showing only current or upcoming events.
Show Event Image?: Use this option to show or hide each event’s image in the list. Enable it when you want the event list to be more visual and to highlight event branding or featured graphics.
Show Location?: Use this option to show or hide location information for each event in the list. Enable it when you want users to quickly see where or how an event will take place.
Show My Community Option In the Filter?: Use this option to show or hide a filter choice that lets users narrow the event list to their community context. Enable it when you want to make it easier for users to focus on community-relevant events from the broader list.
Show Tags for Each Event In List?: Use this option to show or hide event tags in the list. Enable it when you want users to see event topics or categories directly in the results and use that information to decide which events to learn more about.
Event Presenters
The Event Presenters widget allows you to display a list of presenters associated with a specific event. This helps attendees identify who will be speaking or facilitating the sessions at the event, allowing members to better plan their participation.
There are no widget options to configure; this widget pulls presenter details set at the event level: on the Manage Events page, click an event's actions menu and select Event Presenters to add and manage its associated presenters; the presenter information provided here will display in the Event Presenters widget. (If the Event Presenters option is not available for an event, refer to the note below to learn why.)
NOTE: Generally, presenters can only be assigned to specific sessions, but because sessions are only available for events with a registration process set to Full, this limits the ability to highlight presenters to large events. To highlight presenters for any event, even something small like a webinar, you can edit the event's associated Event Type and enable the Allow Event Level Presenters option. Then, as long as the Event Presenters widget is added to your community's Event Description page, any added presenters will display in this widget. (To edit your Event Description page, navigate to an event's details page and select Edit Page from the Admin Toolbar. Note that this page is a global page shared among all of your events.)

This widget has no configurable options.
Event Registrants
The Event Registrants widget displays a list of users who have registered for a specific event. This widget allows event organizers to see all attendees in one place, making managing event logistics and communication easier.
Key features
- It shows the names and details of users who have signed up for the event.
- This widget is configured to be specific to an event, ensuring that only registrants for the selected event are displayed.
- Admins can utilize this information to follow up with participants, send reminders, or provide additional event-related communications.
This widget can streamline event management by providing quick access to attendee information without needing to navigate away from the event page.
Options
You can configure the Event Registrants widget via the following options:
Display Horizontally?: Use this option to control the layout of the registrant list. Enable it when you want the registrants to display in a horizontal format instead of the default vertical list.
Display Type: Use this option to control how the widget chooses which registrants to display. It can show registrants who are similar to the current user, registrants who are contacts of the current user, or a random selection of registrants.
Event: Use this option to choose which event the widget should pull registrants from. This setting makes the widget event-specific so that it shows registrants only for the selected event.
Hide If No Data?: Use this option to hide the widget when there are no registrants to display. Enable it when you do not want an empty registrants area to appear on the page.
Number To Show: Use this option to control how many registrants the widget displays at one time. Use it when you want to limit the list to a smaller sample of attendees instead of showing everyone in the widget.
Events Calendar
When placed on a page, the Events Calendar widget displays a daily, weekly, or monthly view of your community's events. If needed, it can also be configured to only display a specific community's events.
This means you can create a calendar showcasing all of the events across your Higher Logic community to ensure all users can view it, as well as create calendars within specific communities so those members can stay updated about events unique to their community.
Options
You can configure the Events Calendar widget via the following options:
Community: Use this option to limit the calendar to events from one specific community. Leave it unselected when you want the calendar to show events from across your site instead of only one community.
Default Calendar View: Use this option to choose which calendar view users see when the page first loads. This controls the default layout of the calendar, such as whether it opens in a day, week, or month view.
Show events even if they are hidden from the Events List?: Use this option to include events in the calendar even when those events are hidden from standard Events List displays. This essentially means hidden events still display in the calendar. This option is useful when you want the calendar view to be more inclusive than your Events List/search experience (for example, when the list/search pages are curated, but you still want the calendar to show a broader set of events for easier admin management).
Show past events?: Use this option to control whether past events remain visible in the calendar. Enable it when you want users to be able to look back at previous events, rather than showing only current and upcoming events.
Manage Registrant Roster
The Manage Registrant Roster widget provides an interface for event organizers to easily manage event registrants.
Accessing the Registrant Roster is possible at the site and community level:
- Community Admins can access an event's Registrant Roster by navigating to the community's Settings > Manage Events page, selecting the desired event, and then choosing Manage Roster from the event's Actions menu.
- Super Admins can access it from the Admin Toolbar by going to Admin > Events > List and selecting Manage Roster from the event's Actions menu.
Key features
- Once attendees start registering for an event, the Registrant Roster allows event organizers to manage all registrants in one place. This includes viewing the overall payment summary, managing individual registrations, and accessing detailed information about each registrant.
- Admins can search for specific registrants via the magnifying glass icon, and filter registrants based on criteria such as payment status, registration status, and more to streamline management tasks.
- Admins can add registrants directly from the Registrant Roster, whether by selecting specific users, adding community members, or creating new contacts and registering them. This is particularly useful for tracking last-minute or retroactive registrations.
- Administrators can send emails to all registrants or specific groups of registrants (e.g., those who haven’t paid) directly from the roster to facilitate communication before, during, and after the event.
- The widget also allows for manually marking registrations as paid when attendees pay via offline methods such as cash or check.

My Registrations
The My Registrations widget provides users with an interface to easily manage their event registrations. It's purpose is to streamline the process for users to manage their event attendance, making it easy for them to keep track of and engage with events within their community
Key features
This widget allows users to:
- View all the events they have registered for, including both upcoming and past events.
- Manage their registrations for events, including canceling their registration if needed.
- Access detailed information about each event they are registered for, including event descriptions, dates, times, locations, and any other pertinent details.
- View a summary of payments related to their registrations, which is particularly useful for events that require paid entry.
- Receive email notifications and reminders for their registered events, ensuring they stay informed about upcoming events they are attending.

Simple Registration
The Simple Registration widget allows users to register for events of the Simple Registration type. This widget is specifically designed for smaller events where straightforward registration is desired, without the need for complex features like sessions or registration add-ons.
NOTE: This widget only functions when added to the Simple Registration page.
Key features
- The widget enables public users to register without creating an account, making it easier for a broader audience to participate in events.
- This widget is suitable for events with basic pricing structures, typically catering to either all attendees at a single price or differentiated pricing for members and non-members.
Options
You can configure the Simple Registration widget via the following options:
Cart Header Text: Use this option to set the heading text for the cart section of the registration experience. This is useful if you want to rename that section so it better fits your site’s terminology or the type of event registration you are presenting.
Description Header Text: Use this option to set the heading text for the section that displays the event description. Use it when you want to adjust how that section is labeled for your users.
Location Header Text: Use this option to set the heading text for the section that presents the event’s location details. Use it when you want that section label to better match the way you describe event logistics.
Pricing Header Text: Use this option to set the heading text for the pricing section. Use it when you want to rename the section where users review registration cost information.
Registration Header Text: Use this option to set the heading text for the registration section. Use it when you want to relabel the part of the widget where users complete their registration details.
Select Automatic Best Price for Registrants?: Use this option to control how pricing is assigned. When enabled, the widget assigns a price automatically based on the Registrant Class configuration. When disabled, it enables honor-based pricing so the registrant can select their own price.
