The Ratings & Reviews page is where you configure the properties of the "recommendations" elements for your community site.
Use the fields on this page to customize the "recommend/like" experience for your community users. You can specify text and language that align with your community's nomenclature and terminology (e.g., use "thumbs up" instead of "like") for:
- button labels,
- messaging, and
- tool tips.
Recommendations settings notes
The settings on this page are global settings. They are applicable to your entire community site and cannot be managed per community or per module. Additionally:
- At a minimum, you should review the default values for these settings.
- You can customize any of the settings on this page to align with your community's terminology/nomenclature.
- Higher Logic recommends that any customizations be in plain language in order to minimize confusion.
- Your changes take effect immediately upon saving.
Access the Ratings & Reviews page
To access the Ratings & Reviews page:
- In the Admin Toolbar, click Admin.
- Navigate to Settings > Ratings & Reviews.

Configure the Recommendations settings
Use these settings to manage the display of the "recommend/like" features across your community site.
NOTE: Each setting's description includes which modules it's applicable to.
- Refer to the descriptions in the table for guidance on how to configure the recommendations fields.

| Remove recommendation tooltip | Specify the "remove your recommendation" text to display to members who have already "recommended/liked" content. Applicable to Discussions, Libraries, and Blogs |
| No recommendations message | Specify the on-hover text to display when an item has not been recommended/liked and the page is configured to display recommendations as text instead of as a count. TIP: The {0} in the default text is a placeholder that automatically gets replaced with the text in the Button label field. Its use is optional. Applicable to Discussions, Libraries, and Blogs |
| Recommendation count tooltip | Specify the text to display when members view the list or count of recommendations/likes. Applicable to Discussions, Libraries, and Blogs |
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save Settings.
A confirmation message summarizes the changes you have configured.
- Click Save Changes to preserve your changes.
