Use the Image zone to add images to your email messages and manage their properties, such as their alignment, hyperlinks, alt text, and more. If you need to edit images, you can even use the built-in Basic or Advanced editors to customize it without leaving the editor or the message.
NOTE: If the image you've added is too large for the zone you've placed it into, you'll automatically be warned at the bottom of the message. This gives you the opportunity to re-size the image to ensure it looks great before sending your message.

Add the zone to a message
TIP: As you work, click the gear icon in the upper right and click Save Changes. Use the undo and redo buttons to manage your changes.
- Click and drag the Image zone to where you want it in the message and "drop" it into place.
- In the Insert Image dialog, click Browse to locate your image in the Image Manager. The Image Manager is a repository of all images that have been uploaded to your account. If needed, you can also upload new images.
- Accepted file types are: .bmp, .png, .jpg, and .gif
- Max file size is 5MB per file
- Be sure to remove any special characters from your image file names prior to uploading and inserting them in your messages. While you will be allowed to insert them in the editor, they will result in broken images in your sent messages.
See Manage Images to learn how to use this image repository.
- Once you've found your image, click to select it and click Select to see a preview of it back in the Insert Image dialog.
- At this point, you can:
- edit some basic image properties on the Properties tab (more on this below),
- click Edit as Copy to make a copy of your image to edit with the Basic or Advanced editor (more on this below),
- or click Insert to complete the process and add the image to your message.

Edit image
If you'd like to make some adjustments to the image prior to inserting it into your message, click Edit as Copy to create a copy of the image and make edits via one of two built-in image editors:
See Manage Images to learn more about how to customize your images.
- Click Resize/Crop to use the Basic editor to perform rudimentary edits, such as cropping and re-sizing.

Image repository update
In December 2019, all Higher Logic Real Magnet images were migrated to a new repository. Images that were inserted into messages prior to this migration remain linked to the pre-migration repository. If you try to edit one of these images, an on-screen message will indicate that you have to perform a one-time save in order to update the image’s link to the new repository.
- Edit the image and then save it to the new repository.
NOTE: Message-based images that you do not edit will remain unaffected by the migration.
