TLS 1.2 Upgrade Information
Higher Logic is committed to providing the highest level of security and privacy for our customers. To achieve this, we will be transitioning our AWS asset retrieval to Transport Layer Security (TLS) version 1.2 and above in order to adhere to industry best practices and to align with the latest security standards.
NOTE: The majority of our end users are already using TLS version 1.2 or above and will not be impacted by this upgrade. Currently, less than 0.01% of our end users are using versions of TLS below 1.2.
Understand TLS
TLS 1.2 is a cryptographic protocol that provides a secure connection between your device and our systems, thereby enhancing the confidentiality and integrity of your data during transmission.
This update is essential to safeguarding your personal information and maintaining a secure online experience.
Higher Logic Document/Image downloads from AWS
Starting June 15, 2023, to continue seamlessly accessing downloads of images and documents from Higher Logic products, ensure that your systems, applications, and devices are compatible with TLS 1.2 and above.
AWS Upgrade to TLS 1.2
Amazon Web Services will be updating the TLS configuration for all AWS API endpoints to a minimum of version TLS 1.2 on June 28, 2023.
Improved Security
TLS 1.2 offers advanced security features, including stronger encryption algorithms and enhanced protection against potential vulnerabilities present in earlier versions.
Action Required
Outdated software, such as older web browsers or operating systems, may not be compatible with TLS 1.2. To avoid any interruption of content downloads, we recommend updating your software/browser to the latest version that supports TLS 1.2 and above.
Compatibility Check
You can verify whether your browser supports TLS 1.2 by visiting https://clienttest.ssllabs.com:8443/ssltest/viewMyClient.html.

Website cookies
Cookies are small pieces of data that web servers place on a device when you visit their website. They track and remember your visits to the site and your activity while there. Despite misconceptions — cookies are safe; they cannot transfer viruses or malware to your computer because the data in a cookie doesn't change when it travels between servers and computers.
NOTE: Higher Logic uses cookies to manage member sign in activity on our products. Users must have third-party cookies enabled in their browser for passive authentication to work across domains.
Despite being placed on your computer by a site's web servers, cookies have to be managed by you in your preferred browser.
IMPORTANT: Higher Logic requires that cookies be enabled for our site so that members can log in and remain logged in when they select the "remember me" option.
Enable cookies in your browser
Each of Higher Logic's supported browsers (listed above) has a unique "settings" section in which you manage the browser, such as enabling/disabling cookies. Refer to your browser's "help" or "support" documentation for information and guidance on how to enable cookies in that browser.
Third-party cookies
Higher Logic Thrive Marketing Professional and Enterprise require that you allow/enable third-party cookies.
Cookies and Single-Sign On
Single-Sign On (SSO) is an authentication scheme that allows users to log in once with an ID and password, and then be able to access additional related, but independent, sites without having to re-enter their authentication details.
IMPORTANT: If your main website uses cookie-based SSO authentication, your members must enable cookies in order to be able to seamlessly log in to your Higher Logic site from your main site.
