While typically not needed or recommended, you can create a stand-alone Library; that is, a Library that is not associated to a community.
Why a Stand-alone Library?
Stand-alone Libraries are not typical in a community but there are a few cases in which they're useful. For example, you might want a stand-alone Library that is a dedicated resource center for:
- Individuals who aren't all members of one community but who need a place to share resources due to their involvement with/in committees, meetings, one-off events, and/or working groups.
- All members of a Thrive Community site to share overarching community resources, such as best-practice documents, tips and tricks, and how-to information.
