Higher Logic retains marketing automation data for Higher Logic Thrive Marketing Professional (Thrive Marketing Professional) and Higher Logic Thrive Marketing Enterprise (Thrive Marketing Enterprise) as follows:
Mailing/Message activity data
These time frames are considered rolling windows, where data outside of the time frame is removed:
- Sends - 13 months
- Opens - 18 months
- Clicks - 18 months
In Thrive Marketing Professional, the ability to drill down to an individual subscriber/contact via the Mailing Activity Report is available for 90 days after sending. This drilldown includes every date and time the subscriber/contact opened that mailing/message. After 90 days, the data will indicate that an open occurred, but without any date and time information.
Thrive Marketing Enterprise Campaigns data
The same rules apply to campaign messages:
- Sends - 13 months
- Opens - 18 months
- Clicks - 18 months
NOTE: Campaign metrics will not be deleted. However, the metrics (sends, opens, clicks) of the messages that are associated with each campaign will be subject to this retention policy.
Web Tracking data
Data collected from website visits is retained for 12 months.
Thrive Marketing Professional Target Groups
For Thrive Marketing Professional, unused Target Groups are removed after 13 months of inactivity by default. Inactivity is assessed as both direct and indirect use. For example:
- Direct use - Target Group A has not been used to send a single mailing/message
- Indirect use - Target Group A has not been part of a compound Target Group used to send a single mailing/message
NOTE: While you can manage your automatic Target Group cleanup settings (see Target Group Automatic Cleanup), Higher Logic's best practice is to leave the default settings in place and remove Target Groups that are unused for 13 months. This prevents unnecessary Target Groups from clogging up your account and streamlines Target Group management for you.
