You can embed a Landing Page in an iFrame on a web page, such as the Home page of your organization's web site.
This is a great way to increase engagement with the Landing Page — and to simultaneously get that engagement data into your Higher Logic Thrive Marketing Professional (Thrive Marketing Professional) account.
This article describes how to retrieve the code that is needed in order to embed a Landing Page in an iFrame.
Notes
- This process is supported for the Form and Content Only types of Landing Pages only.
- A Landing Page must be deactivated in order to retrieve the embed code.
Deactivate a Landing Page
If you want to embed an active Landing Page, you have to deactivate it in order to retrieve the embed code; then you can re-activate the page.
- Access the Admin interface and navigate to Landing Pages.
- Click the Active tab.
- Hover over the menu icon of the page you want to manage and click Deactivate.
The page is deactivated and moves to the In Progress tab.
Disable the auto-focus feature
You have to disable the auto-focus feature in order to prevent automatic scrolling.
- Access the Admin interface and navigate to Landing Pages.
- Click the In Progress tab.
- Hover over the menu icon of the page you want to manage and click Edit.
- In Landing Page Designer, click the Process tab.
- In the Auto-Focus section, check the Disable auto-focus box; save your changes.
Retrieve the embed code
Before starting this procedure, follow the steps in the preceding sections if they are applicable to you.
- Access the Admin interface and navigate to Landing Pages.
- Click the In Progress tab.
- Hover over the menu icon of the page you want to manage and click Edit.
- In Landing Page Designer, click the Activate tab.
- Click the Get iFrame Code button.
- On the dialog, click Copy and then Close.
- Open a text editor and paste the code to ensure that the copy was successful; save the file.
- Return to the In Progress tab and, from the hover menu of the page you want to manage, click Activate.
The page is reactivated (check the Active tab) and the code can be added to a web page in order to embed the Landing Page.
NOTE: The embed code is basic and designed to ensure the embedding works. You will have to add any additional coding or tags to make the Landing Page suitable for your host page.
Embedded Landing Page notes
- A subscriber who submits an iFrame-hosted Landing Page will be sent any message that is configured in the Follow-up Mailing section on the Process tab).
- Notifications that are set up in the Notify section on the Process tab will be sent as configured.
- If a subscriber submits a subsequent Landing Page from this host page and their information differs from the original Landing Page, the original information in Thrive Marketing Professional remains intact; it is not overwritten.
