A Message Library allows a user to publish the message content to a page that lists all published messages. Contacts can be directed to this Message Library from within email messages or perhaps hosted from a client's website.
NOTE: If you would like to enable the Message Library, create a case.
Permissions
Once enabled, initially all users have access to the Message Library; however, administrative users may limit access to it. The permission that needs to be enabled is Message Library.
Using the Message Library Tool
Messages can be published to the library at the time of send or after the message has been sent via the Tools tab or the quick link in the most recent interface in Messages.
Configuration
Find the Message Library URL
To find the Message Library URL:
- Select Messages.
NOTE: In the older interface (light blue background), navigate to Tools > Feature Settings > Message Library.
- Select Message Library.
The URL will be at the top of the page.
Publish From the Send Page
When you schedule a Message to send to a group:
- Under Additional Options, check the box for Publish to message library.
- Specify a name for the message.
- Select a publish date.
Publish From the Messages Page
In order to publish a message after it's been sent, or if it is a message that you would like to publish that has never been sent, select Message Library under Messages.
- Select Messages.
NOTE: In the older interface (light blue background), navigate to Tools > Feature Settings > Message Library.
- Select Message Library.
- Select the Message you would like to publish.
- Enter a date.
- Specify a name for the message.
- Click Save.
Remove a Message from the Library
To remove a message:
- Select Messages.
NOTE: In the older interface (light blue background), navigate to Tools > Feature Settings > Message Library.
- Select Message Library.
- Select the Message you would like to remove.
- Click Save.
Troubleshooting
Below are some common questions encountered when working with Message Library.
- Is there a limit to the number of messages I can store in the Message Library? - No, there is no limit to the number of messages you can store in the Message Library.
- Can I change the layout of the message library? - The layout of the Message Library is managed by Higher Logic Thrive Marketing Enterprise (Thrive Marketing Enterprise). To modify the Message Library, create a case.
- Can I modify my Message Library to display based on Message Category? - The Message Library functionality is managed by Thrive Marketing Enterprise. To modify the Message Library, create a case.
