Whether you are trying to find a single subscriber or many, harnessing the subscriber search feature is time well spent. The feature has a variety of filters enabling you to be very efficient with your searches. The results of your searches can be exported or can be used to create new target groups on the fly! Let's begin by learning how to navigate through the search options.
Subscriber Search
Navigate to Subscribers > Search.
In the Find Subscribers section, there are different searchable categories. Let's learn about each of them now.
Email & Personalization
Searching under this category will allow you to search by email as well as any personal information fields you have built into Higher Logic Thrive Marketing Professional (Thrive Marketing Professional).
- Click the Field dropdown list to see all available options.
- Enter the search term in the Value field (e.g., @gmail.com to pull all @gmail subscribers).
- Click Update and the results will populate to the right.
Current Status
Searching under this category will allow you to search by subscriber status.
- Click the Status dropdown list to view a list of subscriber statuses.
- Check the Add date range box to search within a date range. This will expand the page and create two additional fields: From and To.
- Click the calendar icon to select the date range.
- Click Update and the results will populate to the right.

Using the Data
Once the data populates, you can export it into an excel file or you can create a target group using the new criteria.
- Click Export to export the data to a spreadsheet.
- Click the plus and minus icons to add or remove columns. When ready, click Ok and the columns will populate with the requested information.
- Click Target to create a new target group from the new criteria.
- Enter the target group name in the Name field.
- Click the Folder dropdown list to select a folder where the new target group will reside.
- Click Create.
NOTE: It's important to note that target groups created from the search screen are not dynamic queries. In other words, groups created via the search screen will not automatically update!
For example, if you need to send a mailing to all of @gmail.com subscribers again in one month, you will need to repeat the process.
