Sometimes contacts can inadvertently unsubscribe from your mailings. If this happens, there are two ways to reverse an unsubscribe status, and the one you'll need to use is dictated by your account's settings. In this article, you'll learn how to perform both methods.
NOTE: Because a contact may also unsubscribe intentionally, re-subscribing an individual can ultimately affect your engagement metrics and overall deliverability.
Reverse an unsubscribe by group or all
- Navigate to the Contacts tab.
- In the left sidebar, click CONTACT TOOLS, followed by Search Recipients.
- Search for the contact either by their last name or email address.
- On the search results page, click the contact's associated Details button.
- Click Show/Hide All Groups.
- Check the box for the group (list) to which you wish to re-subscribe the contact.
- Click Submit at the bottom of the page.
Reverse an unsubscribe by category
- Navigate to the Contacts tab.
- In the left sidebar, click CONTACT TOOLS, followed by Search Recipients.
- Search for the contact either by their last name or email address.
- On the search results page, click the contact's associated Details button.

- For the category you want to re-subscribe the contact, click Re-Subscribe.

- Click Submit at the bottom of the page.
