Use the Survey Properties to set a variety of attributes for a survey. You can modify a survey's:
- appearance and layout
- fonts and text formatting of questions
- mandatory questions
- question spacing
- real-time results availability
- page break properties
- submission properties
Survey columns
Surveys can have:
- 1 Column
- 2 Columns
- 3 Columns
In the Survey Properties, click Define Survey Style and select a number of columns.
Survey width
Yes. You have two options:
Pixel Width - You can specify the exact number of pixels you want the survey to span. Pixel width can be between 100 and 600.
Percentage - You can specify what percentage of the viewable window the survey should display. By default, surveys are set 100%.
To access this functionality, in the Survey Properties click Define Survey Style and select a width.
Survey border
Yes. You can set a border for the survey. You can choose the border color as well as the border properties:
- No Border
- Normal
- Thin
- Thick
To access this functionality, in the Survey Properties click Define Survey Style and specify the border options.
Align answers and questions
You can choose to display the answers in one of the following two options:
- Horizontally (Adjacent to each other)
- Vertically (One below another)
To access this functionality, in the Survey Properties click Define Survey Style and select an alignment option.
Automatically number the questions
In the Survey Properties click Define Survey Style and select Yes for the Automatically number your questions? option.
Survey questions font style
By default, the font style for questions is Black and 10 point.
To change the default properties, click Define Question/Answer Style and set:
- Font Face
- Font Size
- Font Color
- Font Weight
- Font Style
- Underline
- Text Alignment
Additionally, you can change the font formatting for individual questions.
- Click Edit below a question. At the top of the Input Question box that contains the question text, there is a text editor.
- Highlight the text you want to change and use the text editor to change the font, color, formatting, and/or font size. You can change the entire question or format individual words.
Survey answers font style
By default, the font style for Answers is Black and 10 point.
To change the default properties, click Define Question/Answer Style and set:
- Font Face
- Font Size
- Font Color
- Font Weight
- Font Style
- Underline
- Text Alignment
Additionally, you can change the font formatting for individual answers.
- Adjacent to each answer is font icon; click it to change the answer font.
- In the small text editor that appears, highlight the text you want to change.
- In the text editor change the font, color, formatting, and/or font size. You can change the entire answer or format individual words.
Format mandatory survey questions
Mandatory questions by default are highlighted with an asterisk (*).
To change the symbol, click Define Mandatory Question Options and set:
- Select whether to highlight mandatory questions
- Select the text or symbol as indicator
- Select the font style for the symbol
Change question spacing
There is a default spacing between survey questions.
To change the default spacing, click Define Other Properties and select a spacing setting from the dropdown.
