In this article, you'll learn various settings and features that Higher Logic Thrive Marketing Professional (Thrive Marketing Professional) Admin users should take advantage of during their marketing automation journey.
System Settings
In your Thrive Marketing Professional account, Admin users have access to the Admin menu. From here, they can create and manage user accounts, update integration settings, and configure general system settings.
Let's take a look at a few important system settings; navigate to System Settings from the Admin menu.
Classification
Thrive Marketing Professional provides benchmark numbers to give you perspective on how your email results compare with those of other users. Giving a classification to your account will let the system use benchmarking data from organizations in similar industries for more accurate comparisons.
Target Group Automatic Cleanup
The Target Group Automatic Cleanup feature automatically deletes target groups that haven’t been used in a defined time period. This helps to keep your account clean and organized with only the lists you’re actively using.
You can define the types of groups for deletion and the period of inactivity to trigger deletion in the Target Group Automatic Cleanup area. Just check the Active box to expand the option.
NOTE: Deleted target groups can be “undeleted”.
Suppress Auto-Replies
In the Default Email Information area, the Ignore Auto Replies option allows you to suppress out of office/auto replies from your recipients. This setting still allows your recipients’ mail server to send error messages or bounce responses.
Default From and Reply To
In the Default Email Information area, you can set a default Friendly From, From Address, and Reply-To Address. These values will be used when creating a new template, but can be edited in the Template Designer for individual templates, or in the Mailing Designer for specific mailings.
Sending IP / Internal Allowlists
Your account’s sending IP addresses can be found at the bottom of the page, in the Mail is Sent From the Following IP Addresses area. You’ll see two:
- Main IP - The address that your production emails will come from
- Test Mailing IP - Where your test emails will come from.
Because your internal spam filter will give more scrutiny to email coming from your organization to your organization, we recommend asking your IT department to add both of these IP addresses to your allowlist to ensure you’re receiving all your mailings internally.
